Credo Christian School, started in 1979, was built in Woodbridge, Ontario. It was formed by parents and other school members in the conviction that education, like all of life, must be Biblically based and directed. There must be unity in what children are taught at home, in Church, and in the school. The task of the school is to equip the children of the covenant for a life of obedient and thankful service to the Lord. Credo Christian school relocated to Grace Canadian Reformed Church in 2023.
Mission Statement:
Assisting parents by providing an excellent and Christ-centered education that prepares students to love their God and their neighbour as themselves.
Core Values:
1) Christ Centered and Reformed Learning
· Biblically faithful – the Word of God is authoritative (1 Tim. 3:16, 2 Peter
1:20-21) as summarized in the Three Forms of Unity and the Westminster
Catechism
· Salvation is in Christ alone (John 14:6)
· Through grace alone (Eph 2: 8-9, Tit 2:11)
· Through faith alone (Gal 2:16, Rom 4:5-6)
· With Glory to God alone (Rom 11:36)
2) Collaboration of Church, Home and School
· God’s promise is to us and our children (Acts 2:39). We believe that parents
bear the primary mandate to instruct their children regarding biblical truths
(Prov 22:6). In His Church, our children are spurred on towards love and
good deeds (Hebrews 10: 24-25). With this school, we seek to educate our
children in concert with church and home so that they may learn about God’s
creation through the lens of the Gospel.
3) Spiritual Understanding
· Children will be taught to supplement their faith with love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control (2
Peter 1: 5 -8, Gal 5:22)
4) Academic Excellence
· When our children commit their work to the Lord, we believe that their plans
will be established (Prov 16:3). Credo is committed to helping each child
cultivate their individual abilities and achieve their unique potential.
5) Serving our Community
· As our children have received, they will be taught to serve one another as
good stewards of God’s grace (1 Peter 4:10). In the same way, they will be
taught to let their individual lights shine before their community (Matt 5:16)
